 Enhanced Configuration page

Configure advanced optimization parameters

From the Calculation options menu, you can now activate and configure 3 advanced parameters:

1/ Aggregation of visits in the same location

When you have many visits in a city (thousands of visits on a route plan), this parameter greatly reduces the calculation time for route optimization. It enables you to "merge" visits that are very close to each other, assuming that the driver parks in the same place to deliver to the surrounding points in pedestrian mode, for example.

The parameter is a radius. The radius within which TourSolver aggregates visits. You can prevent visits located on different streets from being aggregated. 
E.g.: 2 visits within the defined radius but on 2 different streets will not be aggregated.

2/ Balancing on working time


This parameter is used to create tour plans that are balanced between different resources. A slider allows you to define the extent to which the working time balancing criterion is important for optimization.


Please note: available in the Standard engine only

3/ Compactness


This parameter enables you to create tour plans based on a maximum travel time that must not be exceeded between two visits. You can force the engine to respect this maximum travel time, or allow it to exceed this threshold, but penalize higher values.

Configuring access to Low Emission Zones (LEZ)

As a planner, I want to be able to activate EPZs and configure which vehicles can access them and which cannot.

Two configurations are required to set up access to LEZs:

  • Enable or disable Low Emission Zones (LEZ).
  • Create a new profile of vehicles which may or may not go into LEZs.

From the Configuration menu Calculation options page, you can now enable or disable Low Emission Zones (LEZ).

From the Means of transport menu Configuration page, you can create a new vehicle profile. To define whether or not to allow access to LEZs, you need to activate the Overload traffic authorizations option in order to be able to access the Allow low-emission zones option.

Setting up the Ebooking link

As a scheduler, I want to be able to communicate to my end customers a time slot and a day of passage.

Until now, the ebooking link sent to the customer to specify the confirmation of their appointment showed by default the Reference field and the Formulation field. It is now possible for the scheduler to hide these elements in the link sent to the customer.

In the Configuration page, Configure customer experience menu, General section, you can set :

  • whether or not to display the Reference field
  • whether or not to display the Formulation field

 

Configuring the return to the depot after visits

As a scheduler, I want to configure a return to the depot after a visit within a maximum time limit.

When importing the visit file, it is now possible to associate several new constraints:

  • Return to depot: as soon as the visit is over, a return to the depot must be carried out within the time specified in the constraint.
  • Compatibility: depending on the type of visit made, the choice of depot must correspond.
  • Daily frequency: by entering several time slots for a visit, you can configure several visits during the same day at different times.

 

 

Insert photos in the personalized end-of-visit PDF document

As a planner, I'd like to send the photos taken during the visit in a summary document in PDF format to end customers.

You can access the Document Templates tab from the Configure Message Sending menu.

You can edit an existing document to modify it, or create a new document from a pre-configured template.

Choose the information you want to appear on the document. In the left-hand margin, you can see all the available blocks, including the one containing all the photos taken during the visit. By checking/unchecking the blocks will be included or not in the final document.

Once you've defined the elements that will appear, rename the document and click Save.

The newly created document can be integrated into a message sent at the end of the visit. Simply activate the "Insert PDF report of intervention as attachment" option in the End of visit tab of the Message dispatch configuration menu.

Improved geocoding

Autocomplete addresses from points of interest (POIs)

As a planner, I want to be able to geocode an address from the name of a store or restaurant.

All POIs referenced by Here can now be used to geocode postal addresses.

After importing your data files, you can correct an address whose geocoding quality is insufficient by entering the name of a store or restaurant in the address field.

Improving the Fullfilment page

Change the resource or time slot for a scheduled visit

We've redesigned the production page so that you can easily change the time slot and/or resource of a scheduled visit.

From the Planning block, you can view the different visits that make up a day's tours. Select the visit you wish to reschedule, then click on the Reschedule button in the Details block.

Indicate the resource, date and time of the visit before clicking on Re-schedule to validate the change.
